My deep love and curiosity about plants began early and has persisted and grown throughout my life.

I began learning about herbalism around age 14, and slowly built a collection of books that served as foundational in expanding my understanding of herbs and their uses. Throughout my teens, I experimented with many topical and bath-related herbal recipes and utilized the small handful of herbs I felt confident working with.

My interest and love for herbs continued to grow, and during my 20’s I was able to learn from different teachers who held varied approaches and perspectives about working with herbs. This was also the time that the dream of having my own herbal apothecary was demanding not to be ignored anymore - I’d written it off previously due to self-doubt.

Expanding my knowledge and use of herbs into tinctures, oxymels, teas/tisanes, wound care, etc combined with the topical herbal recipes I already had meant my practice of herbalism became well-rounded and I began to feel confident in the idea of having an apothecary of my own.

After a few years of doing freelance marketing, I was let go from my primary contract in 2022 and I was determined to switch gears to start building towards opening The Naked Apothecary.

This apothecary is designed to grow and evolve alongside this community and myself. Creating herbal and botanical goods to nurture you and your well-being is very important to me, and I aim to infuse every product with intentionality, quality, and powerful herbs.
